A visit to Borth, Mid Wales

Borth is a coastal village in Ceredigion. I love beaches and I’d never been to this one, so we decided to pay it a visit.

We considered hiking up to the top of that cliff. Then we thought better of it.

The view looking towards Aberdovey.

There is an ancient submerged forest at Borth, but we didn’t get to see it because the tide was too far in.

The geology is interesting. The beach is littered with large hunks of quartz.

Great rock pools at the stony end of the beach.

The view from the train station is gorgeous.

Birds, sheep and grasshoppers.
