5000 Year-Old Submerged Forest in Borth, Wales

The remains of this submerged forest at Borth in Mid Wales only appears during low tide.

Radio carbon dating shows that these trees died during the Bronze Age.

Image shows the stump and roots of an ancient tree half submerged at low tide. Much of the wood has been worn away and it looks a bit like an alien flecked with green seaweed.
